Objectivity/DB versions interoperability test

Last update - 29th July 1999.

Testing version interoperability

Purpose

A test program which checked interoperability between version 5.1 and 5.1.2 (lastest version of Objectivity/DB). The tests were run on six platforms: IBM, DEC, HP, Sun, Sgi, Linux.

Method

The program was run to check versaions interoperability in following areas: reading objects, creating containers with objects within them, creating databases (oonewdb), creating federations (oonewfd), running ams, running lockserver.
The results are shown in following tables:

LS - Lock Server run with a given version of Objectivity/DB
AMS - Advanced Multithreaded Server run with a given version of Objectivity/DB
FD - federation created with a given version of Objectivity/DB
DB - database created with a given version of Objectivity/DB
WR - creating container, and object with a given version of Objectivity/DB
"1" - means run with Objectivity/BD 5.1.0 version
"2" - means run with Objectivity/DB 5.1.2 version
